Lisa is an Assistant Librarian at Gilmer Pubic Library in Glenville, West Virginia.
Gilmer Public Library is a small, unique, community library, situated between Gilmer County High School and Glenville State College. In our general collection, we have a vast selection of children’s books, youth and young adult, Western, Romance, Christian Fiction, Military Adventure, Mystery and Sci-Fi. We have a good selection of large print texts, an amazing craft book selection, a large variety of cookbooks and an impressive medical and health section.
Gilmer Library also offers public computers, free wi-fi, access to secure, reliable databases, a swap room of dime-store romances, and an ongoing book sale where you can take the books you want and donate what you feel they are worth.
Gilmer Public Library oversees several mini libraries throughout Gilmer County. Lisa is the manager of the Normantown Mini Library and oversees the Nonfiction and Reference Sections of the library. In addition, she offers her research skills and knowledge of online databases to assist patrons in the library with the information needed.
Lisa leads a monthly Writer’s Group that meets at the library on Thursdays at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., (writers choose the time most convenient for them). She also leads an Altered Books Crafts Class on the first Saturday of every month at 11 a.m. Contact Lisa for more details and information.
